    o2 sensor

i cant friggin pass my damn emissions test, and i just bought a new cat, universal fit, and i has no hole in it for the o2 sensor. this car is not a honda, its a vw, so do any of you know if it would be better to drill a hole and mount it closer to the headers then where the previous owner had it (in the cat) help

It's a pretty big pain in the ass to drill and tap that kind of hole. usually you want to weld a nut on the pipe. But it's not something most people feel comfortable dealing with themselves.

Ya make sure it is after the cat. The o2 sensor is placed there to make sure the cat is doing it job; that as the exhaust leaves the cat, its clean.

I was also under the impression that o2's should generally be before the cat because their purpose is to determine whether or not the engine is running rich or lean... I couldn't really see how it could properly do it's job without special calibration if placed after the cat.

              Clarification?

dude just go to pep boys or auto zone and open one of their manual for ur car and check where the sensor is located in ur car. then go home and do the job. its better then buying the whole manual which u might need it in my opinion.
                good luck man
