its in the passenger kick pannel...umm right to those computers there...pull that out and u will find a 2 pin blue harness...
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

i believe that the connector (or wires at least) can be seen on the second pic.. off to the top right, the blue group of wires.. they plus is usually taped to other wires until it is used..

if you want, ill take a pic of where mine is tomorrow and post it up.. thats if you dont find it before then..

yeah, those blue wires should be it.. they are just tucked up in there. Take that down, and put the paperclip into the two slots, and then you can read your codes.

I found the blue clip (thanks )but when i put the clip in the CEL would stay on...no blinks whatsoever and the abs light would go off...when i took the clip out the CEL light would go out and the abs light would turn on i tried looking for the light on the ecu but i didnt see any...can you guys tell me where the light would be on the ecu using the first pic? thanks guys

one more thing, would this work even though i the CEL light never came on in the first place? during my car trouble, the CEL light would never go on...does it have to turn on at some point in order for it to throw out a code?

I never found the light on the ECU....didnt look for it cuz the CEL light works fine. Just plug the paper clip in, and put it to ACC ON, and if it just stays solid, then you have no CEL's stored

Maybe your timing is off a lot??

Also by your description, it kinda sounds like a bad distributor coil, or the whole distributor. They are both kinda expensive... but if it works....it works. Try the coil first(its inside the distributor, and about $70-90)... not sure though. If its not that, return the coil, and get the whole distributor(thats what i did) cuz it comes with a new one. And hopefully that will solve your problem.

Yeah the CEL has to come on, in order to retreave a code..

ive changed the distributor along with the chip that goes inside and the ignition coil about 3 years ago and my mechanic said that the ones it had were the original ones so it was time to change them...i replaced them with oem ones again and figured they would last me another 10 years but could they be busted already? i remember paying around $300 for all the stuff and i dont want to pay that much again but if it is, then i guess i'll have too...are there any upgrades to the oem? cuz if im going to replace them (again) then i might as well get better ones

Yeah it may be your timing or a possible vacuum leak.

how can i check if its any of these possibilities? how can i check if its the distributo coil, the timing or if its a vacuum leak? the only vacuum line i remember messing with was on the intake above the throttle body...it was the one farthest back. the hose wasnt connected to anything so i just plugged it up...could it be that? i know it was connected to the stock airbox on the bypass thing towards the front but it was removed once i put my cai in.
