    puttin filter close to TB like this haha
    how would this effect engine performance..good or bad??

        bad, unless you made a box and a hood scoop so when you close the hood, the filter element is completely isolated from the rest of the engine

                Oh Yeah, That's a damn fine idea!!
                Sig. Material.
                Probably pay to shorten the Ignition Wires too so the spark get's there quicker.

                    I've seen it done on turbos. This dude that comes into my work a lot has a short ram intake with a 90 coming straight out of his TB, however the pipe runs THRU the hood that he fashioned in the hood, and you can actually see the filter outside the car. Everytime he walks into autozone he claims that he just smashed a VTEC. When I ask what kind, he says what do you mean, I beat a VTEC...

                      oh and sparkle was running no filter for a few weeks and it was crazy loud

                      that will send ur idle off a bit too. wont run as smooth either
