    Dim CEL Light

Want to see if anyone has ever encountered this problem. Searched a few forums with no luck.

My CEL has come on 2 times randomly... I hate seeing a CEL. Went to check the code, and when it is jumped, the light blinks very quickly once every 5 seconds, and is about half as dim as it usually is.

If you just go to start the car (CEL not jumped) the light shines at correct brightness.

    h22 w/chipped p28... has run fine for a year.
checked ecu ground.. cleaned the already clean connection
    new ecu fuse
    swapped chips in ecu

and still have the same problem. Car runs fine, any ideas?

No, but I'm confident you will work it out in your own time.

haha, well figuring it out at this point means not worrying about it... I dont like electronic crap, so Im not even going to mess with it. Just hopin someone had the same problem before.

Unless it's affecting the performance of the car or the CEL is coming on I wouldn't be too concerned.

You would have to know me to understand. I am not a perfectionist when it comes to everyday stuff... but typically car/motorcycle/garage and my computer are organized. If there are any weird sounds on the car... I get them taken care of, I like a nice ride with no worries about taking offramps at 2-3times the posted limit

Just knowing it's there can be a PITA as well. IMO if it doesn't affect the Performance, Safety or Visual Aspect of the car then why stress. All it could be is a bad connection at the Service Connector when bridged, too much resistance through the CEL Circuit. Could all depend on what you use to bridge the S/C.
