    Wierd noise

When I start my car it runs fine but as I take off I hear a grinding noise for about 30-40secs than my ABS light comes on and the noise stops what could this be? I have a automatic and never changed the fluid myself, I was just wondering how much transmission fluid do I dump in after I drain it.

I hear a similar noise from that abs "thing" (I dont know what the proper name of it is) down under the battery sometimes, happens like once or twice a year... like a kind of low groan.... hard to explain..
anyone else with abs experience that noise? Im assuming is isnt bad cause i dont have any problems with my abs, and all fluid is at proper level..

most likely you hear the abs pump being activated,,, you need to retrieve the abs code ....

to change tranny fluid , is real easy put in 3 qts of atf dexron III ,,
but i don;t think the noise you hear has anything to do with the tranny ,,

I know it has nothing to do with the tranny, I was just trying to knock two birds out with one stone.

If you can get it done, get a Complete Fluid Exchange. They take about 6 Quarts.
            USE ONLY HONDA ZF1 ATF.
You'll be amazed at the difference.
After Flushing a customers car, he came back to me and said it wasn't changing gears, but after I went for a drive with him I pointed out that was because of the smoothness of the gear change with the New Oil.
Make sure the Kickdown Throttle Cable is Adjusted to Specs. If it is out of adjustment it can affect Line Pressures significantly and cause Flaring or Thumping Shifts.
