i'm riding on agx's and h&r race springs, supposedly the same thing as neuspeed race springs...i have them set on 3 in the front and 5 in the rear, it can get a little bouncy but i am positive that i have everything installed correctly. the main thing that bothers me is the damn weel gap. i expect no gap left when i bought the setup and i have a 2 inch gap all around. the way i see it, i should have just bought the cheep ebay stuff cause the ride would suck but at least the car would sit where i want it to...

Sadly you probably lost alot of folks. AGX are great struts for the money, Koni Yellows are better. Neuspeed Race springs with AGX are a good setup. You should not be bouncing. Make sure you installed your sup. correctly.

I tried to keep it reasonable. I can only try to help provide info, it is up to whoever is reading/listening/learning to use it.
I probably could have summed it up with the brake analogy though.
Sometimes I get wordy.

So can I pretty much assume now that the KYB AGX Adjustability is useless ?
I have AGX's now and I had Tokico illuminas before, I did notice that changing the settings on the KYB's isn't as noticeable as when I changed setting on the tokicos...I think the graphs show me why, interesting. Very cool thread
I dont know how much wayned payed for his AGXs, but they can usually be had for around 260ish a set give or take some. They are ok shocks, definatly not the "best on the market" as you would say.Last edited by phatdoughnut; 02-03-2006, 08:24 PM.H22 Prelude VTEC 92-96 200 161 10.6:1 87 90 DOHC VTEC 2157 JDM

and tomace234, and wayne are right. You should have just bought cheap stuff because obiously you are just in it for looks and not performance reasons.H22 Prelude VTEC 92-96 200 161 10.6:1 87 90 DOHC VTEC 2157 JDM

in the years that i have been here, the only problems that ive heard with the yellows is the C clip breaking. konis have the best warrenty, if they break send it in and get a new one, or take it to the shop you bought them from.
Tokico blues from experience suck ass.
As far as reperformance they arnt top notch
some more quotes from that thread
does it bother you guys that koni yellows have absolutely no compression adjustment?neither does any shock in that price range. if i wanted compresson adjustment i would have goten the 3011's or AD's. but those are two different ball gamesfor $500/set, not at allYou shouldnt need one - compression controls the unsprung weight, and once its set you shouldnt have to worry about it. "set it, and forget it!"
For that kind of coin you can get Koni 3011's......Figure $400/corner without springs or top hats. They are custom built, double-adjustable, steel body (the 3012's are the alum body).Mmmm...that does sound nice. What's the price difference for the 3012s? (Having held an aluminum body and a steel body shock, that weight savings would be awfully nice).IIRC its alot it sends the coilovers over 2000 i *THINK*
i think your top notch shock comment is out of everyones dreams.H22 Prelude VTEC 92-96 200 161 10.6:1 87 90 DOHC VTEC 2157 JDM

The problem is not that the AGX are are "shit", its just they are an improper match for your race springs. Basically your spring is too stiff and your shock absorber cant dampen that fast.
