    Max. RPM

How high are you guys taking your f-22's? My 'a6 likes to jump up into the red pretty quick, just wondering how careful I need to be with that. I'm also trying to put a MSD sci-L ignition on it, then I'l have rev-limiting capability.

hmmmmm 6800 is right around what I would get my f22 to rev before fuel cut.
Oil leak? What oil leak? That's just sweat from all that horsepower!

I realize the power peaks out before redline, but in first gear the r's just jump up so quick especially when I'm trying to impress my wife with tire smoke

Good point on impressing the wife, I did light 'em up for a homeless guy who was sitting right in the apex of a nice smooth right turn the other day. Ok, it was only the right front tire, but he looked like he enjoyed it

meh... I run seem to run faster when shifting right before fuel cut or at least when I had the f22 motor. Even the rsx type-s is faster when shifting at fuel cut deep in the red. If you shift at redline it fall out of vtec... shift at fuel cut it stays in.

not if u have an h22 tranny, u shift at red it will land in vtec if u do it right. thats what its geared to do.

I wasn't talking about my h22. I ran faster times at the track in my f22 if I shifted at fuel cut. My chipped p28's fuel cut is set at 9k... I dont want to go anywhere near 9k with the stock topend. I dont have trouble shifting fast and hard... I do it everyday on the way to work... hell everywhere I drive. Now lets get back on topic.

Do you have v-tech or are you referring to the secondary intake runners on the a-6 motor?

On the topic then, would 6500 be generally regarded as a safe max rpm for a f-22?
