Your ecu is fine. The only time you'll get a flash/es is when the ecu throws out a CEL. No CEL = light staying solid when jumped. I'm thinking you have an internal problem. I use 5W30 in my accord in the winter and its runs perfect.. Does the knocking happen while idling or acceleration? What grade fuel are you using? More details if you can. Possible ignition timing, emissions system,.......give more info if u can
