The ECU DOES NOT GET A CHASSIS GROUND to make it work, it has its own designated circuit ground from the engine. Here are pics of where its at, on the thermostat housing as mentioned before...

Sorry for the blurry pics. The ground is the little strap on the bolt in the picture. The big bowl-shaped object with the orange writing on it is the thermostat housing, and the other picture is from the top of the engine, looking down at the thermostat housing; you can see the shift linkage assembly in the picture.

Good to hear man. Maybe you need to adjust the idle on the throttle cable, I know my throttle body is from an auto car, and it has the two-wheel design for the passing gear of the tranny. We accidentally put my throttle cable on the wrong wheel and it idled up like that. Maybe you should double check your cable if your mani came from an auto car...

                bumppppppp

                current problem:
upon firing up, the idle = redline or more

would this be a tps problem?

has anyone else experienced with this?? thanks everyone so far! =)

I'l have to check mine, I know for a fact that my cable comes around the bottom of the wheel, but I don't remember which one (mine is 5-speed), but I'll look and tell you.
