    No more boost.

So I was driving to eat tonight, on the way back home I stepped on it and the turbo didn't boost at all. I got home, popped the hood and saw that the blow off valve (that I "welded" in myself) popped off the intake pipe! Im going to get it welded on tomorrow, can this be the cause of why my car boosts 8spi around 5k rpm? I didn't see any cracks or anything on it before. What do you guys think?

u would have heard the air leaking out the bov so no thats one of the last causes i would look for. If its alot of oil then u need to find out where it came from.

And u did a good job on welding that bov pipe on, I'm really surprised that happened. I'd just re-do it yourself cause u did a decent job IMO.

I think it came off because that solder I used it for HVAC copper pipe. I don't think it will hold very well if I did it again.

Do it right the first time or youll have problems later are you sure your motor didnt lean back and touch the bov i had that happen to a person when he made the piping to snug close up to the motor.

Nah the BOV isn't anywhere close to the motor, I took it to a weld shop today and they welded it back on for me, runs good again. Thanks.
