What do you mean by "Freaking Out"?

Is it the Button or is the Green "S" Light Flashing?

Have you Checked the TCU for Codes?

Before you go ripping out the TCU & Replacing it bridge out the 2 Pin Service Connector (Same One for ECU) and read the Codes on the green "S" light.
If you have any codes refer to a Workshop Manual & Test the Relevant Circuits It may just be a Sensor at the Transmission.

its the light, and its jus stays on till i reset the battery and its draining my battery. I know a guy that had the same prob in his 91 cord, and he replaced his and it worked fine.

Def pull the code, it could be something more serious like a shift solenoid.... Does the trans hesitate or feel like you are stuck in a specific gear? Your best bet is to pull that code like GEN46L said!
