Cold air intake question

I got a cheap ass ebay cold air intake, with a K&N filter. When the car is on, it sounds so weird, almost like a high pitched vaccuum cleaner, or a whistle. The shit is louder then my exhaust, and its starting to get old. Is it normal, and what can I do about it?

if u've tightned everythign correclty, plugged the vac port and etc. dont worry

there's this slight humm to it.. which one did u get? u got pics? im trying to get a cheap one as well and mess around.

yeah.. i also have a cheap intake.. but i put on a K&N filter.. and it makes a whistley noise.. and if it was done correctly.. it should be fine

Don't worry, my AEM cai i've had for 3 years has a weird whine to it occasionally (and I've tightened everything numerous times). It happens when you touch the oem shit.

my question is how is the cold air intake routed ?i have recived one from a friend and it's a cheap on it does not have a k&n on it but the filter looks like a t okay filter i do plan to replace , any i was just wondering if any one had pic's or can help with install ( i like to do my home work before jumping on a project) i figure it is routed like the oem but want to make sure thanks

Which vac port are you talking about?

theres a little hole somewhere on the intake it think its up twords the top u have to plug that up...u can put a little fit of filter foam in it or just tape it over or sumtin
