Can you use a computer from a 92 accord 5 speed into a 92 accord automatic?
Does the transmitions have anything to do with the computer.

I believe you'll need an automatic transmission ecu for an auto cb7

many interchangeable... but need to be for the same transmission (auto or manual)

Pretty sure it's the same ECU, so why would you want to do this, I'm not seeing any chance for improvement here?

I suggest you ring up your local Honda Parts Dealer and find out the Part Number of The Manual ECU and The Auto ECU for that Specific Model and see if they Match!! That is the easiest way of knowing what parts are interchangeable with other Honda Models.

                  **EDIT**
I checked out RockAuto.com for part numbers and here is what I have determined.

                  ECU - Manual Transmission|Federal Emissions = OEM Part# 37820-PT3-A04.

                  ECU - Auto Transmission|Federal Emissions = OEM Part# 37820-PT3-A55.

I also noticed there are different OEM Part# for Different U.S. Emission Laws. You may have to throw that into the equation as well.

Fortunately Here in Australia our Emission Laws are Universal and not State Bound. Must be different in USA. Bloody Do Gooders!!!
