i use Castrol Syntec Full synthetic 10W30....wouldnt use anything else. i also use a s2000 oil filter. my civic is spoiled. i try to change it every 2.5k miles. but no more than 3k. but mobile1 is good too.

Why do you call it 'Poisonoil'. Is this a personal issue or did it destroy your engine at some time?
Like you said, Everyone has their own Personal Preferences.
I agree 'Mobil 1' is one of the best oils on the market and I also too would recommend it, it's just that I've been using Pennzoil 5W50 100% Full Synthetic in my Accord for a while and haven't had any problems. Also because I get it very cheap. You see I own my own Mobile Mechanics Business and I buy a shit load of Pennzoil Lubricants & Wynns Additives, therefore the extra benefits I get from my Pennzoil/Wynns Rep makes it all worthwhile. i.e Free Wynns Octane Booster, Days at the Drag Races with Free Alcohol & Food. Horse Races, Golf Days, Free Remote Controlled Cars, Free Holidays to the Gold Coast, $600 of Free Alcohol for a Christmas Bonus etc etc.
I've used Mobil, Shell, Valvoline, Castrol, BP, ACDelco(Fuchs) & Penrite Lubricants in the past as well. All are good lubricants and all have their own qualities, but are essentially much the same, it's just a matter of Brand and/or price choice.

For F22AX engine.. 5 qrts is way too much for regular oil change.

93 Accord Helm Factory Service Manual recommend..
After engine disassembly: 5.2 qts, 4.9L
After oil Change, including of filter: 4.0 qts, 3.8L

If you don't have any oil leak or buring problem, 3.3~3.5L of oil should be fine.
