    weird spark problem

the other night, xmas eve in fact, my car suddenly lost a cylinder. the #2 cylinder wasn't firing. i have new plugs and wires(i am a big maintenance freak.). i later found that through the plug wire, where it passes into the cylinder head, the spark was jumping through the rubber onto the head. i inspected the wire and plug and found no cracks or moisture. how can a spark in this circumstance go through plastic and rubber? again there was nothing obviously wrong with the wire. they are about 3months old and their autolites. any ideas? thanks. oh new wires are on their way!

all you need is a teeny tiny pin hole to jump. i had that kind of problem on another car and i had to use a magnifying glass to see the hole. doesn't take much. gl. reminds me i need to buy wires too. mine look original.
If you're gonna go, go with a smile!
