        Dear Accordlx,

There are only a few bolts holding the heat shield in place. Remove them, and you should be able to wiggle it past the o2 sensor.

Just grab a hammer and bang away... You dont need no dang o2 senser.

if i remove my heatshield and could i just leave it off and not put it back on? would it be a problem if i don't have the header heatshield?

Unless you're swapping headers, it's better to leave it on. It'll decrease under hood temps, and hold heat into your exhaust so it'll flow better

yea InvaderTrax pretty much summed it up keep the heat shield on but if you are gettin a performance header you wont need it

You have to remove the o2 sensor.
They sell a special socket for the o2 Sesor.
I got mine from Snap-On. ITs quite expensive...
After you remove that, then u get the 3 bolts. (Use Rust penetrator)
Unless you are swapping Exhaust mani's you shouldnt take off the heat shield.

Removing it would increase under hood temp.
Thus increase Short ram intake temp., which in turns equals less HP.

Plus...the LX header looks madd ugly...
