When you start getting impatient and start sounding rude by the verbage you type the responses get hostile. I am on this forum several times a day just like alot of other people. But we don't live here so give the others some time. If you don't have time so wait you will have to pay a mechanic. And even the mechanic is going to hold you up for most of a day.
It really is a labor of love making a neglected CB7 with "normal wear and tear" into something worth being proud of.

um have you checked your coolant temp gauge to make sure the thermostat isn't bad?? If it's okay, have you checked the other temperature sensor that goes to the ECU and TCU?? If it's bad and sending "cold" to the computers, the Transmission will intentionally shift late a lot like what you're describing.

The oil on the plugs shouldn't have anything to do with the way its shifting, nonetheless get that fixed anyway.
