So i find out my battery is fucked and went and picked up a new one before i left for work.I havent started the car for two weeks now.I put the battery in and go to start the car. It sounds like its about to fire after a second of cranking but it stops.I crank again and see fucking smoke from the valvecover wire coming up.This is the third ground wire that has melted.Just wanted to see if anyone alse has experienced this problem?I know basic electrical and this seems like a short-to-ground problem to me.could it be that the wires coming from the altenator have a splice on them and they are touching the vc thus causing the meltdown? This is on an f22b swap, BRAND new battery and starter, and the bitch still wont fire easy.I had to come to work so i didnt have a chance to check the altenator wires.
