    fuel leakage AGAIN

alright i leaked fuel on my #4 injector last time so i took out the whole fuel rail and replaced every seal. put it back in and it was good.

today i smeled fuel, not alot only a small drizzle....its comming from #4 again....wtf....should i replace it again just to be sure...though that one looks compressed more than the others...perhaps thats why?

now in doing so, should i change all the other seals again or leave them? since im taking out the fuel rail again.

o yea i had a cracked #1 injector but i got it comming in from someone so ill do that at the same time and then change my spark plugs to NGK for the first time.

possibly raise my timming from 15btdc to 16 stock.

    thanks for the help
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

i would say make sure teh nuts holdng the fuel rail are torqed down good and make sure the injector is sitting in that part of the rail good.
i had the ame problem this weekend after replacing my injectors. one would leak so i took it apart again and made sure it was in there well and tighten the nuts down good.

    BUT WARNING!!!!!!!!!

make sure when u tighten them dont do it that much, because the stems holding the fuel rail down WILL SNAP!!!
my middle one did and the one close to the cam gear was stuck on by the teh nut that hold it down.
i was about to cry but i had an extra intake manifold and just unscrewed the stem off that one and replace the snaped and the one with the screw stuck on it.

    just be careful tho.

well took out my fuel rail today and to see that the injector thats leaking is damaged. i remember when we put it on we put it at an angle with the inejctors in place inside the intake manifold.

it pinched the rubber and made a bad seal.

so i took out the injector and try to bend it back but it wont work...but it was all good...i put a new seal on and its better...

but as a future idea, dont ever put the fuel rail on after the injectors are in or you may run into my problem.

basically when the fuel rail is out, put the injectors into the fuel rail and as a whole put it into the intake manifold. less errors and less time.

now no more leak. all good.

well i finally replaced one of the cracked injectors. i got the injector from someone on this site.

i changed it and put some fuel injector cleaner directly inside the intake manifold, which was pretty clean. when i started i got alot of smoke due to carbon, but now it runs great...lets see how gas milage goes.

i made a DIY on it. ill post it later this week.
