Yeah i never liked Cross drilled rotors to begin with.
Like you said, they are notorious for cracking prematurely.
I was always into the slotted ones.
The reason i havent gotten slotted ones is because i cant afford buying
    pads all that often...

You will be fine if you get cross "dimpled" and slotted rather than the drilled. Dimpling does not decrease the integrity of the disc to the same degree that slotted does yet you will basically recieve the same positive effects.

As far as elaborating on the pads, when i first had them installed they felt slippery and didn't brake well at all. I was very disappointed. After I broke them in which I believe took me about 500 miles since I don't brake a lot, that is when they bit. It was in rain that I noticed it because I had to stop suddenly and it stopped so suddenly that I had over a car's length in front of me and the car that stopped suddenly.

yea bro.. i installed sum Brembo cross drilled/ slotted discs with the EBC Green ish all around and goodridge stainless lines... my brakes works so damn good that my shytt quality tires lock up even with abs.... my brakes were fully broken in only about 100 miles or so, if that... you need to folllow EBC's break n instruction that come in the box to make sure they work to thier maxx... if theyre not broken in propperly, you might as well have gotten any other pad on the market... i tell ya, even with the heat soak after sum serious braking sessions weavin in and outa traffic, they get kinda squishy, but if you get on it a lil more, they still stop on a dime! i agree w/ everyone that the cross drilled does create possioble premature rotor failure, but if your sum1 who drives defensivly and never really has to use ure brakes to thier pitential, then they will wayyyyy outperform anything else and still last just as long as another rotor, but i have yet to meet sum1 that drives a CB7 that drives in that fasion!! ahahahaha..... when my brakes are gone, i'm probly gunna go with either a nsx/ legend swap or an aftermarket system with only slotted rotors.... oh and yea i'm deff gettin ultra high perf. tires for next spring cause my braking SUXXXX simply cause the tires loose bite if i really need to get on it, unless the road is super hot like in the summer...

i installed the green stuff on my buddy's 350z and he loved it over stock. his wheels say cleaner and there is a bit less fade. there is some break-in material placed there by EBC so just follow the directions during the break-in period and you should be set.

i've personally never used them. i'm always a fan of OEM honda pads. yes they get the wheels a bit more dirty (especially the rear!) but their performance is great! all my autocross buddies are firm believers and use OEM honda pads too. but for the EBC green stuff, they are ok for the price. don't they sell them at pepboys?

Well since Jak just linked this thread in another thread and I have these pads now I'll tell you what I think.
They do break good. Better than my AEM pads. But of course I installed some shitty autozone rotors because no one would resurface my Brembos. And these rotors couldn't take the abuse and within the same month they were already pulsing.
But as far as dust, I have a hell of a lot more than the AEMs. I drive a lot. I have to clean my wheels once a week if it's not raining.
I'd love to hear more on the RedStuff. I'm gonna try Hawk next time with slotted rotors.
            Metal Metal and more Metal!!!

How much does your wheel/tire combo weigh? Post here!

Same here. I haven't been using anything else but OEM pads. They last for a long time and break wonderfully. I'm sticking with OEM till i'm not satisfied with thier performance. I'd like to do a rear dic conversion too but so far so good with these OEm brakes of mines. BTW how much do those EBC pads go for any ways? I get mines for $30 (employee discount )

I fit different brand brake pads to all different types of cars in my game. Mainly Bendix, but I also use AC Delco or Lucas here in OZ because they are the BBFYB.
I have easy access to all these brands and get them relatively cheap (for Australia), but I use EBC Green Stuff in my own car in the Rear Brakes. Unfortunately I can't get the Green Stuff Pads for the Front of my CB7(Different Calipers to CD5's), so I'm using BENDIX ADVANCE Pads ATM.
The new Bendix "Ceramic Technology" Pads have just become available here but I'll wait until the Advance Pads are worn out first then I'll Swap out the CB7 Calipers for CD5 Calipers so I can utilize the EBC Green Stuff Pads on the Front.
As Far as dusting up, the EBC are one of the Cleanest Pads out there.
The cleanest I've used yet are the BENDIX ADVANCE Pads.

Any more details on the reds? Warm up time / fade amount at high temps? I know I should probably upgrade to 2 + piston but I want to make the best use of OEM single pistons for the time being! But I hate the amount of fade stock pads get!
