    slightly rough idle

    i have a 90 ex accord 5 spd 4 door

i recently(1 month ago) changed the fuel filter, egr valve and gasket, cleaned iac & throttle body, changed spark plugs and wires, added fuel systems cleaner, seafoamed it............and changed distrubutor about 4 months ago.

the problem is it has a slightly rough idle. At first it was like it was misfiring making popping sound out of the exhaust but then i fixed with when i changed the egr valve. but now i just feel a vibration in the car when its idling
it drives prefectly fine though. Its just when its idling even when i look at the engine its a bit shaky but not alot just like a vibration. all of the motor mounts look ok also. Only thing is i have a cel for o2 sensor could that make it idle the way it does any ideas what it is cause it drives me crazy

Mine does the popping too, and I know my egr is clogged, maybe thats it....
You said the engine is movin around a little, maybe its the mounts?? Yet I can't see how what you did would make them all of a sudden go bad....

well, the first guy: Yours is running lean because of an O2 sensor more than likely.

you need to get a haynes manuel at any autoparts store...find the fast idle valve and take the 2 screws off the cap and tight down the pastic yellow looking thing inside all the way down ...be careful not to break it......then put it all back together and start the car up....problem gone......i did this like about a 4 weeks ago and its perfect man try it is so easy......

I've noticed the exact same thing in my 91DX w/ h22a swap. It feels like using too low of an octane rating in your car, but I use 91 which is the highest I can get. If I put in 87 it idles even rougher and it's slow. I'm going to try a decarb service at work and see if that fixes it.
