whenever i warm up my car lately, there seems to be a whole bunch of white smoke, like clouds of smoke and i'v never seen that before is this normal? and is it better to idle on parking or on neutral and hand brake?

Thats normal when its cold, its caused by the cold air during the night that turnes into water or moister, then in the morning when your warming up your car the heat of the exhaust tunrs it into white smoke, so its normal.

Is there a sweet smell to the exaust? If there is - then it could be a blown head gasket as already said.Anything is possible when you don't know what your talking about............Comment
