Auto Tranny Fluid

Does it matter waht dexron i use and Since the car is old will it still shift hard after changing the fluid or will it completley different.

idk i just used dex 2 didnt think it would be any difference as long as it was auto tranny fluid or get honda atf that ish is good...

Get Honda ATF, its worth the extra time and money going to the dealer for it. Non Honda ATF are not the same althought they say "meets Honda/Acura".

USE HONDA ATF only u'll know what i mean..

Ditto on using Honda ATF like everyone else says. It DOES make a difference IMHO (ie. smoother shifting, etc. etc.).

honda ATF....i used Dex 2 or 3 once, and the tranny shifted like ass....simple drain and fill with HATF made it good as new

damnit now i know why my sister and my car tranny's are bad its cause we put cheap ass walmart dexron fluid im goin to honda dealership tommorow to get some honda atf fluid

I put in dex/merc3 and the tranny shifted hard but a bottle of lucas trans fix sorted it right out

Wow...Lucas Trans Fix??? that just sounds like a band-aid to me....It's all about the genuine honda fluids!
