fast idle valve

how do you and can you adjust a fast idle valve to rid rid of loopy idle when car is warming up?

umm wish i had pics..if your looking at your intake manifold...on the left side of it there will be a screw, turn it to adjust your idle

i know how to adjust my idle . its just that when the car is warming up it has a loopy idle and from what ive read its my fast idle valve i want to know if theres anything i can to to the fast idle valve to fix the loopy idle like adjust it or clean it or do i just need a new one.

its on the right side of ur intake mani. its a gold top with 2 screws, turn it to the right till its tight

you mean remove the two screws on the top and and turn that light yellow thing inside to the right until its tight?

yea take off those screws and pull the gold plate off, then turn the white or off white little ring in there to the right

How tight? Tighter than it is, or until its nice and snug?

Can/should anything be pulled out, or just remove the lid and turn the ring?

till its all the way down. its easy if u use to flat head screw drivers.

I know the trick about using 2 flatheads. Just wasnt sure how hard to tighten.

as long as it doesnt pop back up ur good. it looks pretty straight to me. idle problem still happening?

btw y is the manifold off the car?

When i first start my car RPMs are at 1500+/-. Takes about 5 minutes finally settle at 750-800.

Doing this along with IAC, Plugs/Wires/Cap/Rotor. Possibly EGR and Valve Adj. Aiming for higher MPG.

Plus im getting that RPM surge from 45mph-60mph. Surges up and down a few hundred RPMs under light acceleration. Hoping this/these will help.
