i need help asap. my car died on me sat. and i checked my on board computer and it did not flash which means a 0. so i checked the manual to see what 0 meant and it said the ecu. so my question is it screwed because i put my 94 accord ex ecu( yes i switched the wires) and it still runs like crap but i do not have vtec yet so that could be the problem. i am going to buy the new ecu tomorrow but if it is not my ecu i do not want to waste the money. is there any way to check the ecu to see if it is fried? by the way it is a 91 accord lx 5 speed.

Try it on someone elses car... We had a Civic in last week, where all of the *factory manual* tests pointed toward a bad ECU. So we got one and installed it. Turns out it wasn't the ECU. So who knows...Visit us at http://www.valleyspecialists.com for all of your Honda and Acura service needs! -
first check both ecu fuses....there is one in the car and one in the engine...if the one in the car is blown then u will get code 0What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
