    Synchro Installation

I have searched this topic and didnt come up with nothing good, so i decided to post. I think i need to replace the synchros in my tranny, wondering how hard is it and what do i need to do??? The problem is, i try to put it in first, third and fifth and it goes in SOMETIMES when im sitting still but going down the road, i put the shifter up to third it goes up but doesnt go in gear, same with fifth. First gear is the same way sometimes, i will shift it to first to take off and sometimes it will grind or just pop back in N. Is this the synchros????

its either the shifterfork or the synchros . Thats why im gettin a racing tranny with carbon kevlar synchros.

You're probably better off just buying a new tranny instead of replacing the synchros. It'll be easier, and possibly cheaper.

Yes. I would agree, go with a new tranny. It's easier

What do you mean exactly "then the auto"? Installing my manaual tranny wasn't hard...it was already bolted up to the engine when I got it. The hard part was changing the pedels believe it or not...

Check out www.gearspeed.com for the synchro's, and IMO he's better off keeping his exsisting tranny and upgrading to carbon synchro's, that way he doesnt have to worry about the cheap honda plastic ones falling apart on him.
