    strange sound past 2500rpm and when decelerating from 3k

    hi i have a dohc f22b and just recently my car started making this strang noise when i got above 2.5k it sounds like static from a radio im thinken it might be the cat because its in that general area can anyone help me figure this one out

    Can you localize the sound? Are you sure it's the cat?

      I had a strange rattle between 2400 and 2600 rpms. Turned out to be a bolt that came loose on the downpipe at the header. Check your exhaust bolts, loctite and tighten them...

        the sound is comming from right around that area toast and ill check my bolts and hopfully its that i was just thinken it might be the cat cuz i ran my car for 3 months with out a muffler and my cats the origional
