u said a vac hose is the problem but u didn't give any insight as to where it was or what it led to. We need more info. Figure out where the hose is going and why. It could be the part that the hose leads to and not necessarily the hose itself.

its a line that leads to where the fuel filter(fuel filter box) is located but its not connected to the fuel filter ,maybe some kind of bypass or 1 1/2 inch valve it looks like walnut type container ,the hose leads from throttle body to filter box. be back later at work! ( LOL ) trying to discribe it = don,t know much about it???

the fuel filter box? Do you mean the MAP sensor box? Are there like 4-5 of the same size vac lines running to it?

Jump the service connector and check for any cel's. Don't buy anything until you know whats wrong. For all you know the throttle body could be clogged.

The vac line ur messing with is probably the line thats to the right of the throttle body but the car is supposed to stall out if you pinch that line too long. Can you explain the problem a little more?...wait...you never really said anything was wrong with the idle did you?

yes the car idles from 800 rpm to 2500 rpm on park neutral or even drive sometimes it stops and rests at 1100 rpm which is still to high. the vac line that i mess with is one of the four lines from the mouth of the t/b that goes to the map sensor,if you stand on the passenger side of the car it would be the third or fourth hose going from your left to your right.if i pinch it the car turns off.

no, its to the right side of it tho. Has a goldish plate with two screws that you need to take off. Theres a wax like thing inside there, press the valve in the center and use a big flat head to turn the thing closed (clockwise)
