distributor!!

hey guys i need some help, after school i start car and hear a grinding sound, i was like who is starting htere car for 20 seconds straight??? so then i got out of car and hear its engine im like FUCK. i pop hood and see it is my distributor making a horrible grinding after about ten minutes of running in idle it goes away, so i am wondering what it could be, i tried taking the distributor off but all i can get off is the cap.

how do you get the rest off???

Change out the distributor its about to take a shit on you. Thats the bearings on the inside of it about to go thats a sign you better handle that get a whole new one altogether. to get the bolts off there are 3 big bolts that line up you have to looks closer at the distributor there are three bolts one at the front one at the back and one down the center of that assembly on the outside not the cap but the outside on the assembly itself. Unbolt those i think they are a 12 or 13mm bolt and unplug it and installation is reverse of removal and your set.

Early 90's model hondas had distributor bearing problems only way to fix it is replace the dizzy last one i bought from NAPA was @ 125 bux sorry dude but thats the only way

Theres no telling all I can say is change it quick becuase the longer you ride on it the sooner or later your gonna be somewhere you dont wanna be and thats when its gonna go ,always just when you least expect it.

ahh guys i need help asap i replaced my distributor with a new one but when i hooked everything back up, it wouldnt start and gave me a bckfire, what could be the problem?
