A slight shaking in the steering wheel at 55+ MPH

    It started after I:

    replaced the rack and pinion

    passenger tie rod end

    rotors

    brakes

    got an alignment

got my wheels spin balanced and rotated...there was a slight bend in one of the rims, but it never afected me before...

Also, when I rock the wheel back and forth quickly you can feel a faint bump in the column...

    Everything else is fine.

Is it just because the R&P is new and is forcing the wheel back and forth quickly?

could be the tire, could be the rim, could be the hub, could be missed drilled studs even from the factory. all that means u gotta check to runout with a dial caliper on the tire and rim, which is most common. tire i believe should fluctuate more than .060"... .090"... somewhere around there. same thing with the rim i think. go to a shop and have a mechanic do it.
