k, well i ran a compression test and i got 170 all the way accross... and i redline the motor every day, but i have never starved it of oil since i owned it.. well since those compression numbers are ok i was wondering, i burn about a quart of oil every 2 weeks, and let me remind u this is redlining it everyday, but see here is the problem, it held 170psi on each cylinder, never dopped, even after 20minutes of letting it sit.. so i have come to the conclusion that maybe it isn`t my rings letting me burn oil, what would it be?? i will run another compression check tommorrow and check em again since this test was 2 weeks ago and i wanna see if they have changed cause i didnt notice i was burning oil till then.. like b4 the level never dropped for like a month, b4 that month i would burn about a quart every 2 weeks also, then i let it sit for one month and neve drove it (got grounded) and now it is burning oil again after about one month of not.. so again, since it held compression for like 20 minutes then i am not worried of the rings, what could cause this???

If you're redlining it all the time, that's where your oil is getting eaten, 5200-6250, my car does it too. If you would take it easy on the car for a week you'd probably notice barely any oil consumption if the rest is fine. My car uses the most oil when im gunning it in 4th and 5th on the highway, going over 100mph. Ive done road trips running 100 for a whole tank, and running 65, and there's definitely a major difference!! That being said, my car doesnt burn a drop if you dont rev it past 5500.

If you are abusing your car, its not uncommon for the oil to get burned. Do you see smoke coming outta ur tail pipe when ur pounding it?? Have someone follow and take a look.
Also, what weight of oil and type do you run?
My car burns oil, but at a slow rate. I keep it in check and so far so good, nothing really drastic, as oil is within range.hahahahah

i reran the compression test today cause obviously did it wrong the first time.. now the numbers are very uneven but the true numbers.. i got
#1- 180psi
#2- 173psi
#3- 203psi
#4- 175psi
so these r the true numbers and look good, i am not worried of cylinder number three cause whoever had this motor ran high octane all of the time and gave it some carbon build-up.. so ya, when i dont beat on it then i dont burn oil.. only when i do.. basically i hit 6k daily because i run a lot of people. probably not the smartest thing but everyone of my friends want to run me cause they have run everyone else... just messing around i guess...
