Any other thoughts on spraying the top portion of this cable?

I think you could, but i sprayed the part where it goes into the tranny housing.
If you already sprayed those portions and its still rough
im afraid you will need a new Cable...
Its not hard to do, just time consuming...

If you park on a hill, try to engage the parking brake before you put in park. This will prevent the gears from jamming together when it tries to roll away. Changing the transmission fluid might help also.

i had the same problem, getting it out of park and putting it back in park was a bitch!!!!! somehow it kinda fixed itself....3 weeks of that annoying shit and it went by by. i'd say adjust cable or use some grease.

Ok, mine isn't bad yet, but sometimes its a bit tough out of P, so I was wondering about spraying it.

Just was trying to picture where exactly I'd spray (under the console)--since that part I know I can get to.
