A few questions about the Japanese 90-91 Accord....

I am lookin to buy an Accord from Japan, Right Hand Drive, it must be 15 years old or older (Canadian import rules), so i am lookin at the 1990-1991 accords, however i cant seem to find much info on the Japanese spec accord of that year, I would be gettin the SI or the SI Exclusive, I know it comes with the F20A 150hp engine, also it says its a CB6 not a CB7? Sorry im a newb to accords, also i heard there are stock power folding mirrors? Anyone have like a full list of options and specifications? Also the foglights were an option or came with every SI? Thanks a lot for any info!

P.S. I didnt really know where to post this since there is no "general" discussion really, sorry if this is the wrong forum.

should have been posted in the appearence/JDM sub forum. but no harm no foul.

JDM accords are classified from 1989-1992

the chassis is different there because you can get a cb1,cb3,cb4,cb6 and they are all what you would recognize as an accord, i believe the cb2 is the ascot, cb5 is the inspire... someone correct me if im wrong though.

foglights were always an option, but as it seems there are so many fogs out there i think it was a fairly common option.. opted for.

powerfolding mirrors are stock as far as i know but those could have been an option as well, IDK about that one.

as for a full list of items that are available you are gonna have to talk to someone with a few catalogs.. i only have one for the JDM Honda of America Accord Coupe.

if i were you just read through the JDM fourm and see whats on everybodys wish list of parts..

Clarkster, the Accord you want is the CB3 (2WS) or CB4 (4WS) Si or Si-P. There's also the Si-ALB and the Si-T. The Si's are hard to find. I'm not sure how the 89-90's were configured, but the 92 Si-T that I was looking for comes with a lengthy list of options we could only dream about here. Power folding mirrors come standard, as well as fog lights, Traction Control System, Amber Guages, ABS, dual airbags, power folding mirrors, digital auto climate control, sunroof, power everything ect, ect. As far as foglights, they pretty much standard on anything except the lower models of the Cb's. They were not a dealer option as they are here in the US. Everything is hard-wired into the car just like the older preludes and integras that came with them standard. Power folding mirrors were not a dealer option. They came with the higher trim-level Accords.

HAHAHA.. depends on who you are asking that question to. me it would be the CB6 which is the JDM accord coupe (with all trim level variations)

but i guess the overall top of the line Japanese Domestic Market Accord would have to be the Si-T

while yes the Si-ALB was a well equipped model i doubt that honda would release the Si-T with traction control and not antilock brakes. there is even an Si, Si Exclusive and yes an Si-P (im not all familiar with the model but i know of its existence.

ian wsup man.. dont get on AIM much anymore?

Well basically I want a JDM Accord Coupe with a 5spd top of the line fully loaded, i dont want a 4 door, and does the Inspire look the same as the accord and does it come in coupe? Also the car MUST be a 1990, not 1991 or higher, thanks guys!

hey ya clarkster i'm sorry bro. i'll be back on aim pretty soon...

anyways, when it comes to a coupe, the Si Exclusive would be a high, if not the highest model coupe that I can think of. The Si-T (Touring) was for sedan's only. As far as I know, the first year for TCS on a CB7 was 1991 (our 1992) revision b. the accord ALB came with ABS and not TCS in the early years is what i meant. i will do some more research on the topic. most of the Si-T's came in black BTW.
