S Indicator light blinking & Speedometer Freaking out

the "S" green sport light, same as D4, is blinking, and giving me code 9.

But the speedo cluster works fine. No problem at all. Any ideas?

Id say your problem is tied into that sport button.

My dads old 91 had the s button and when it would rain it would short and go haywire.

Search on here for issues related to the sports button and see if any match your problem.

5spd Swap!

thats some of the reasons why I dont mess with Auto CBs anymore.

too many things tied to one another.

if the D4 light is blinking....that could mean a couple of things.

your TCU is going bad ( resistor inside it is blown or is about to go "pop" )

Shift Solenoids could be bad.

VSS.

thats why I prefer a 5spd over an automatic.

do what i did to mine and replace the speed sensor. replaced it and it has been fine ever since

it only flashes while im driving. i just tried turning the key on... and with the car running. no flashing, but if i do drive it, it flashes.

it should still have the code stored, so check it like you would regularly even without the light being on. my CEL is the same way but as soon as i jump the diagnostic it spits the codes out to me.

i just ordered one from ebay yesterday. how'd that work out? give any problems?
