I got in a little fender bender, hardly any damage, I wasn't going more than 15 mph. And my airbag didn't go off... so at what speed does the airbag deploy?

Airbag deploy?

It depends. The airbag module gets input from the impact sensors and the vehicle speed. They could go off at 5 MPH if the impact is strong enough or you can be doing 50 MPH+ and they won't go off if the impact isn't strong enough. The impact sensors are upfront so they are more likely to pick-up front end collisions than rear end collisions.

i dont think that is fast enough to detonate your airbag...........i crashed into a wall at 80 mph...and the airbag sucker punched me...and i inhaled some good smoke...haha....if you hit a wall at 80 and it doesnt deploy then something is wrong..but not 15 mph..unless someone hits you head on at 40

Yeah, the SRS impact sensors are not necessarally sensitive to the speed, but to the force of impact. For example, if you hit a curb hard enough the airbags will diploy, but they may not at 15 mph into another vehicle like you stated. The SRS system is programed not to be too sensitive because airbags can cause serious injury if deployed incorrectly. Not to mention, they are expensive as hell. If they do deploy in a collision, not only do the airbags have to be replaced, but the SRS unit itself must be replaced as well.00 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8 4X4
