    Windows

i have a LX with power windows, you all know that. i have put a lot of money into the car this summer with new paint and tires and ignition. my passenger side front door window is rolling up and down very slow. is there any way i can speed it up and make it last longer without replacing the motor just yet, and that wont damage the window tint?

No. The motor is dying you need to replace it. If you are careful enough, have someone help you hold the glass when you replace it. You won't damage the tint.

the motor probably is ok. spray siclicon lube in the runner channel of the window. ( the rubber groove where the glass is). that should speed it up. later.

Ebay sells them for like 50 bucks shipped. buy all the windows at once like I did and it comes out to be even cheaper. The silicone thing will work only iff the motor is still good. But if its slow and the window is not getting caught anywhere then you should reallly replace the actuator.

front actuators are pretty cheap off ebay and for some reason the RR is the hardest to find because mine needs a RR

Agreed on the window tint. Silicone spray will help. Sometimes, the adhesive from the tint seeps out from the edges and ends up in the track. I think you can spray brake parts cleaner down the tracks to clean them, then use silicone spray... according to a service bulletin... i think.
