    High RPM performance prob

Not here to post my top speed but post an issue. My stock 90 EX recently had the timing belt & accessory belts & water pump changed. Ever since that car feels like it just slowly dies out when I rev it up just before redline in each gear. Maybe I feel this is awkward cuz I haven't driven the car in a bit (was garaged for 6 months). But in 4th gear I was as gets over 100mph it barely moves along RPMwise....I just feel like the car is capable or should be revving up more, but it like just bogs out @ the higher RPM. I adjusted the throttle cable which was a little lose & sprayed intake manifold cleaner. I'm thinking it's cuz 3 of 4 spark plugs are wet, needs new O-rings under valve cover. That's an unresolved issue that's been going on for a while now...maybe it's just reached the point where it's really affecting peformance. I'll replace O-rings, new NGK copper spark plugs, check dist cap & rotor & reset ECU after all that.

hopefully that helps....anyone else have a clue?

it seems liek it could be those things that you mentioned.. but i wonder that if the egr would have something to do with that, its not throwing codes rite?.. im guessing blocked ports could also hinder the acceleration.

hmm.. weird.. it could be the EGR either that or your having some throttle problems.. im not really sure since its not throwing any codes.. but its possible

Not sure, I assume they did the job right since it was the Honda dealer we always go to. We've never gone back for anything, they always have done a good job.

Before I point the finger I'm doing the valve cover O-ring changes & spark plug replacements, then resetting the ECU. If that don't improve it...then I'll look into that. I just got a timing light, so first time I can use it

Sounds like the timing is off to me. Not a good thing though that it has taken you so long to bring it to there attention since the work has been done. I would take it to where ever you got the work done as soon as possible and explain you're situation.

well since you have a timing light you can see if it's off a few teeth yourself.

                I think........

If it's off a few teeth the marks should kinda "move" under the timing light. Am i right guys? I could be COMPLETLY off on this, but i'm pretty sure that is one way to tell.
