    Shift light?

OK...I know that there were no little blinky lights for the CB7's...or any Accord for that matter...I don't believe. I've seen them put into Civic's and the like before. Now...when I mean blinky light I don't mean one as big as my fist and attatched to a huge tach. Just like a tiny red light about the size of a pencil end eraser. So...like when the car gets into redline it'll blink. There doesn't need to be any noise...just a blink. I just thought it would add a cool race feel to the car. I would want to mount it like inside the gauge area...like right by the redline area if possible.

Any info what so ever would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

something like either of the red spots in the poor picture that was made in paint...

id like to put it where that gear for the maintanence required thing is....
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Nifty idea, but anyone with an F-Series will want to lower the point that the light turns on. 8K+ is likely to be the last time you see the light for a while....

              Yeah,

and I really don't need the dual light thing...what do you do if you only want it once? The brochure says I have 140HP at 5,600...so I'd want it to go off like right about then probably...or even just when it get's to the redline.

I did something similar to this last year, Here are the pictures:

I also have a buzzer installed as an audio warning. With my F22 it used to go off right there where it's mounted but now with my H22A it goes off at 7200 rpm.

No not really. umm the LED and Buzzer is from radio shack. The brain behind the shift light is an Autometer shift light concealed under the dash. Also solder a 35v 400uf capcitor in the circuit to eliminate engine whine.

That's about it. Just take your time so you don't mess up the tach.

Where you want to put the light in it won't work becuase there is thick plastic behind there that seperates the tach and speedo.

I was kinda thinkin' to put it where you did or right outside the tach circle.
