A/C don't work...

Ok guys when i turn the a/c on,it blows air in but not cold.I'm guessing that i need to to fill it up with freon,but r-12 is illegal now right?so am i fucked with my airconditioning.Personaly i don't give a shit cuz it gives me a headache,i just put my windows down,but it would help when i try to sell it down the road....so what have you guys done?how do you switch to r-13a?just get a new airconditioning condenser?thanx for the input.

You may need to flush the lines, and possible refill. Check for shorts as well.

yes the compressor engages.i figured i just neede a refill,o well i'll just rip it out,maybe gain a couple hp to

Just my 2c...did you check the heater control knob and function cables? Make sure the cables move freely, you can check where the control lever and cable meet, on the interior passanger side (the left corner near the firewall) make sure the levers aren't being blocked by the carpet or anything...it happened to me once...

this was the case with mine ... my fuse was blown, i replaced it and now have cold air
