coolant as in .. antifreeze? cuz i had a crack in my radiator that i just fixed and if it is burning antifreeze its probably what had alredy leaked out.

Well there you go. I hope you didnt run long with the cracked radiatior. That can cause sufficient block damage.

a cracked radiator cant cause coolant to leak into the block. if youre burning coolant its cause you have a cracked block, blown headgasket... something like that, that would cause coolant to get into the combustion chamber.

unless you were talking about a cracked radiator not giving enough coolant, in which case that would be bad too.

but if you are burning coolant, that engine related, which coulc suck hard... trust me, i know. im in the process of building an entirely new block.

exactly.. there was a huge plume of white smoke coming out of my car when i blew my headgasket.. whatever it is burning, is in the combustion chamber and nowhere else...

Burning oil is blue smoke. Blown or about to go headgasket is white. I should know cause I'm about to replace my headgasket.
