    New idea will it work??

cant get the axle nut off, but can since i only bought a engine is it possible for me to unbolt the block from the tranny pull the engine out of the car while the tranny is still attached to the axles and then put the new engine in and wire it up and bolt it to the old tranny? is this possible?

dont make it harder than it needs to be.. if your car is driveable, just take it to your local tire shop and have them break both of them loose and put em back on.. just not as tight.. drive back to your house, and take them off..

and im doubting you would have enough room to maneuver the motor enough to get it away from the tranny and out of the car..

what methods have you tried to get it off?

and honestly.. you dont necessarily HAVE to take out the axles.. if you remove the hub assembly from lower arm and pull it out a bit, youll have enough room to pull out the axles from the tranny.. if not, just remove the other joints and such to give you enough slack to pull out the hub assembly far enough..

its easy to take out, putting back in is the hard part.. good luck with that.

Its pretty damn easy to take the engine out while the tranny and axles are in, but sticking it back it might be alittle harder, so eventually you will have to take the axles out.

i thought we were still talking about taking the motor out? you guys need to stay on topic gezz..

since when do you need to take the axle nut off anyway... pop ball joints, remove suspension fork bolt, take axles out of tranny.

This is exactly the way I usually do it, I don't even take the wheels off.
