the EGR valve lets exhaust gasses pass into the intake manni... dus getting better emissions.....

It's located on top of the intake manni (passenger side)

clean it, it might me clogged....

        Egr Valve Circuit

wear is the egr valve circuit??it might be faulty.it would probably be better to have to do that then to clean the egr valve itself.accorztech you out there?

What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

First I would get a new gasket (they all use the same gasket no matter what model or year), remove and clean the valve. Then reinstall it with a new gasket. You may also need to have you EGR ports cleaned out. But try the valve cleaning first.

haha im on top of it so u wont bug me lol jk...

i dont know if that will solve your problems, some claim that if u tap the top of that egr thing with a flat head or something a little heavier, the CEL will go away and u will be fine but it will come back.

check all connections, including that red plug on the throttle boddy to see if it is there....but sometimes ur ports can be cloggin up as well...

u need adobe reader....but thats differnt if the ports are clogged...

i dont know what ur problem is exactly, i havent really encounterd it...but id rather get the EGR valve NEW....if ur going to replace it

its ok, next time future reference...if u start something just try and finish it so when people search they know how ur problem turned out from beginning to end...

i found that tech2tech link and it looks pretty easy, now if i do that and reaplce the EGR valve and gasket myself it should fix the problem right.i thought i would have to take off the intake manifold i'm glad i dont have to,thanks
