    Idle Problems

I'm at a loss of what to do here. I've searched the hell out of the old posts and haven't found anything similiar. So sorry if this question might seem repetitive.

Ok problem is car seems to be idling a lil high and it shakes really bad. It doesn't seem to idle more than 1200rpm's though. I drove it to work today (noon) with no problems at all, but when i left to grab a bite to eat (215pm) it started doing this business when i started it up. Its been pretty hot and humid here in Kansas about 96º. When you put it in Reverse or Drive and just sitting there it shakes pretty good. If you go round back and listen to exhaust it seems to be "puttering" on/off. When you step on the gas it seems to want to hesitate and then it starts going but not fast just gradually. It runs and drives fine other than sluggish when trying to accelerate. So question is what could this be??

Things i did to try to troubleshoot the problem:
    1. Replaced Fuel Filter
    2. Checked fluid levels (ie. oil, tranny fluid)
    3. Check vaccuum hoses
    4. Added Fuel System Cleaner
    5. Check to see if Plug wires were arcing

I haven't bought any carb cleaner to spray check the throttle body yet. But after reading the archived posts that seemed to fix someones idling problems. I can't think of anything else to do. I'm at a loss. I figured it has to be somethign electrical/ignition related since it seems to run decent just not like it used to.

check the IACV valve. Mine did this real bad especially when the ac was on. The dealer told me I needed new mounts to the tune of $450. did this for $3 for some carb cleaner took me about 45 min. do a search on IACV or EACV. it is on the intake. mine has a little black solenoid.

I agree, check IACV, EACV, O2 sensor, or possibly the injectors
I say check everything.. if you read through the posts thats seemed to fix some idling problems you have you have to try what they did because you describe the problem to be a "idle problem"

otherwise I suggest checking the tension in pulleys, throttle cable, and maybe check fuel pump. my 2 cents ....good luck
