    exhaust question?

Yeah i just got done with my jdm h22 swap and i have header to strait pipes to a dual 3 inch tip muffler and basically i'm getting no back pressure at all. Another thing i want to point out is that its GUTLESS up to vtec. Now i'm almost sure that its because there is no back pressure but i want to ask a couple of you guys if thats what it is...i have a catco high flow cat i'm gonna install on monday and i'm thinking about asking them to put on a generic muffler for even more back pressure..would that be too much or? oh and i'm also throwing a TPS sensor code even though my tps is fine

if youre throwing a code for your tps... then something is wrong. if your sure the tps is ok, then you have bad wiring. but either way that needs to be fixed, and its probably the source of your powerloss. i have 2.5" header back, no cat, and it drives fine.

i guess anythings possible, but its pretty selfexplanitory... it might just need to be adjusted.

is there a wrong way to put a tps sensor on? if so i probably did..oh and dood if you're running strait pipes with your h22 i heard it will eventually screw with your valves.

not a wrong way, but they have to be adusted properly in order to for them to fucntion with the correct voltage.

            here'a link to a DIY:

What are the size of your pipes 3" or 2.5"?

i have the stock jdm header to 2.25 inch exhaust to a test pipe to a dual 3 inch high flow muffler...now i know that is like no back pressure..but would that explain the bogging as i accelerate? its like wind is constantly pushing me back when trying to accelerate...and the acceleration isnt smooth at all...btw tps is fixed..i was thinking maybe the timing is off?

I think its the big jump in sizes 2.25 to 3" is a big jump.

3" is WAAAY to big for N/A applications. 2.25" is optimal

its just a dual 3" TIP muffler... not 3" piping. that doesnt mean shit. i dont think your piping has anything to do with it. tps is probably off and you might just need a good tune.

Oh...I didn't read that correctly....sorry about that. Yeah check the tps and make sure it is properly tuned, then you can work from there.

it is...last night my tps was at .88 volts when it should have been at .45...so i adjusted it and fixed it. The idle is better but it still runs like shit and i'm not throwing any codes.
