There's a lot of posts out there about idle. Search the technical forum for fast/slow idle and also learn how to reset your ECU.

there is a screw in the top and the end of your throttle body(where intake pipe comes out it is copper colored (I think, not that you can see) but remember counter-clockwise(out) is higher idle and clockwise(in) is lower idle, I usually have good luck with all the way clockwise and then loosen 1/2 a turn or so!!! Keep checking it because they will move over time!

        warm up car
        unplug AIC
turn screw till you get your idle you want
        shut off car
        plug back in AIC
pull spare fuse in fuse box/or unhook ground

        fire back up and score!

when u guys say warm up , does it mean till the temp goes to 1/2?

also, i dont hink u can idle at 300-400?? the 1st band on the tach (i was told is) 500. the thick band.

mines idle kinda bad when i put it into R (i have auto). i will reset my ecu and go from there to ck the idle speed. last time it was around 750 or so.
          hahahahah

till the fast idle valve drops the "high" warmup rpm, should start at 1500 or so and then drop after about 2mins or so, that is warm enough drive/ work on!

              usually fuel ignitoin related.

1st check to see if you vaccum hoses arent leaking. then check the egr valve to make sure it not leaking or the ports are clogged with carbon. make sure rotor isnt burnt and dizzy cap isnt carbon tracked or cracked. check plugs to be good shape and correct heat range. check for clogged fuel filter, injectors opening and closing..fuel pump working. spark plug wires tight and seated and not crossed. just some questions to ask. when looking at it.

the where-abouts of the idle screw has already been discussed^^^^
the IAC is located right behind the fuel rail, in the center of the intake plenum, there is a little plug, just unplug it adjust idle, just open fuse box in engine bay and pull ecu fuse and backup, or disconnect neg!
