f22b dual cam matiance thread

***mods please do not delete this i just want to fix up my f22b and i search as much as possible its just at the moment my internet is f'ed up so i rarely have the chance to search***

so here are my questions so far and what im assumeing please correct me when im wrong i dont want to have to buy the wrong stuff

H23 timeing belt works on f22b
f22a4 dizzy works on f22b
f22ax head gasket works on f22b
h23 valve cover gasket works on f22b
h23 cam gears work on f22b
h23 electric water pump works on f22b sense there is no pully

i think you need the GSR belt for the f22b . . . let me do a search and ill correct myself if im wrong

the F22aX dizzy doest fit either way.. the three mounts are in diff points it must be a DOHC dizzy of the F22b or the H23 motor...
basicly...
All bock parts can come from the F22a motor...
All upper ((head)) parts are from the h23.. 94 prelude si.. 2.3 ltr
and the timing belt is best used off the GSR...
ohh and powerstearing pump mount... try and get one off the F20 DOHC.. it will fit and alow to clear the hood... i used my stock one and a spacer on the back and it rubs the hood ....

the h23 belt may work with a h23 water pump i beileve. I think i read somewhere that the h23 belt has 1 or 2 extra teeth, making the belt too long. The GSR belt should work too, but it may be 2mm too wide. I kno on my F20A DOHC, which is kinda similar to the F22b DOHC, I used an Integra Type R belt with no problems

ok guys i said this many times.
h23 pump does not work THE FLANGE DOES NOT EVEN BGIN TO LINE UP
h23 belt would be stupid to use it has an extra tooth, which i think would cause timing issues...dunno for sure but with my gsr belt, when im at tdc, everything with a timing mark is tdc.

like according2me said, and i should know as i just totally rebuilt my motor, EVERYTHING on the block is f22ax
EVERYTHING on the head is h23
the only other thing you need to know is the gsr belt works perfectly, it's just a little tough to get on, since its a little thicker and stronger (?)
head gasket is f22a

golden eagle makes the electronic water pump its coming out soon for the the h23 check it out on there site
