that is not correct... my 1hg american cb7 has akebono and so does my japan JHM cb7... the only way to tell really is to look at them on your car.

look at your calipers...akebono has 3 triangles, nissin doesnt (it says nissin)

and for the rears they are all made by nissin i believe.
