    Spongy brakes: problem solved

I had the "spongy brakes" feel for the last two weeks, frist was when the brake line went but after $700 at the dealer two days after it came back. Today after fixing my pvc tube, which had a hole in it before, the brakes came back to life!!!!!

    I did two things:

    1) fix the pvc tube, no more vacuum leaks
    2) took a heavy wrench and hitted the MC for 30 secs= 10 hits, not hard... .

So maybe vacuum leaks can make the brakes feel spongy too........

    What do u think??

Great achievements result from great effort

    Dang....

If pedal sinks then its the MC. The lines 2 ports im guessing should be tight.

MC should be bled b4, and then WHOLE SYSTEM BLED.

I know cuz I just did it a few days on my civic. HAHA.. Messy though at times. I tightened the brake lines really tight to make sure.
    hahahahah

same with mine...at stop lights ill have to have the pedal held down to the floor and if it comes up even a centimeter the car will slowly creep forward...it pisses me off and i wanna know how to fix it

Had the same thing, didn't fix it until I changed the MC. I am just weird and I bought it at the delaership for $158 I know I could have gotten cheaper aftermarket, but meh.

I had it put on for $30 bucks, with brakes bled.

              in this case, master cylinder.

absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

replace your master cylinder, mine went out on me durring the rains and it was scary driving in traffic.
