    Trunk lifter question....

My 1st car, '91 LX, came without a spoiler and when the trunk was opened either by key or interior lever the trunk would release and be open about 2-3 inches and remain that way until you actually lifted it completely open. My 91 EX came originally with a factory spoiler, which was replaced when I swapped trunk lids to get rid of the spoiler. Now that the trunk is swapped, when you unlock the trunk it FLIES open. ( it sent a couple of items flying past the front of the car) Is this due to the lifter mechanism that opens the trunk being different, spoiler equipped vs. non-spoiler equipped cars?

the trunk springs are for a deck lid with a spioler. they are heavy duty. you should trade trunk springs with the guy you got the deck lid from because now his deck lid will have a hard time opening
