    Vtec ?

hey i am new to the accords. Owned a 92 teg and know about them.
i am interested in getting a 92 accord. Do the f22a have vtec.

nope, vtec wasnt an option on accord until 1994, and even then it was only on EX models and/or otherwise specified.

Of course much like the tegs that didn't come with vtec, you can always swap into the accord a vtec engine or just the vtec head.

vtec is overrated. just get nitrous and blow all the ricers away.

<<< Has a 94 EX... Vtec is BARELY noticeable, seriously, only time i really feel it is if i go around a slow corner in 2nd and accel. out of it, then i can kinda feel it. Makes me think it was mainly for gas mileage, but whatever The vavle cover still says VTEC

I agree, Nitrous is the cheapest way to blow up your engine while accelerating in a straight line.

I have found that if you have it tuned on a chipped p28 vtec is much stronger and also more obvious. I have ridden in a stock H22 lude and it does feel weak with the p13 compared to a chipped p28. A p28 should be able to work with an accord as well if you are interested in persuing this route.

well our cars with vtec and vtec was never really meant to hall ass just jump a bit faster. Its mostly made for top speed runs not off the line jumps.

sure, whatever. Nitrous only kills engines when too much is put in or the motor is leaned out.

nos is a cheap way out and if all u can do is put in a bottle and say u got power then u dont need to be messin with engines. if u can take a motor and work it to get as much as that bottles gives ya then u know u did something right

My point is that nitrous is good for the drag, and that's about it. If you like drag, then so be it, but it's really not that cool. And there's a lot of stupid people who will get greedy and run too big a shot and blow their engines.

It's not that you can't use it right, it just that for the average person, it's pointless.
